The Home I Never Knew​

Video projection installation is based on the distant landscapes of Venezuela through colourful abstract video projections. The theme explored our emotional connections to places we’ve never visited.​

Four unique videos played in synchrony during the 12-hour event. The total projection surface measured approximately 43 ft by 16 ft. Editing was done with Premier Pro, while MadMapper was utilized for mapping the installation on the terrace of the School of Design building located at 3 Lower Jarvis St.

The Home I Never Knew was part of Nuit Blanche Toronto 2024 on October 5 at George Brown College-School of Design, 3 Lower Jarvis St). Later, the installation was extended and moved to the Future Ways of Living Gallery inside the building for an exteded period of time.

'The Home I Never Knew' short film by Jhulien Carino, Ruth Goodwin, Monica Hosseini, Althea Manasan, Lyv Mutton, Bryan Obright, Modupe Olusoga, Tharsikan Sivasubramanian, Sherubiga Thiyagarajah, Steve Tran, Shi Jie Zhao, and Violetta Zhihar, under the guidance of Professor Maurizio Belli.
